Wider is a unique stereo plugin designed to enhance the stereo image of a mono signal. Derived from the popular stereo feature of its sibling Manipulator, Wider takes the widening effect to a whole new level.
Unlike other stereo effects that can cause phase issues and make a track sound muddy or unbalanced, Wider is completely "mono-compatible." This means that even when the extended signal is summed to mono, it remains perfectly in phase with itself.
One of the standout features of Wider is its innovative all-pass and comb filtering algorithm. This algorithm ensures that the stereo image created from a mono channel sounds natural and dynamic, without compromising the phase between the sides. When the signal is summed to mono, Wider automatically cancels itself out, leaving the original signal intact.
With Wider, you have complete control over the width of the stereo image. It allows you to increase the stereo image of any mono signal up to 200% of full stereo, providing an incredibly wide and exaggerated effect.
